Message from the Dean
Dear Teachers and Students,
I am sure that you are well aware of the important role a woman plays in Jewish life. We have always stressed the importance of the Jewish mother as being the foundation of the home and family. Prior to the giving of the Torah, Hashem instructed Moshe Rabeinu : “ko tomar lbet Yaakov vetomar livnei Yisrael. And the Chazal tell us that Bet Yaakov refers to the women. Moshe Rabeinu told the Torah to the women before the men.
The Chazal tell us, “eizu hee isha keshera, haosa retzon bzaala”. Who is a kosher wife, one that does the will of her husband. The Rebbe explained it to mean that a kosher wife is the one who makes up the mind of her husband. The wife moulds the mind of her husband to Torah Umitzvot.
In our present society, the stability of the Jewish home and family is unfortunately being weakened and this is due to modern-day problems which confront our youth who eventually become parents and are unable to weather the difficulties of life.
Michlelet Morasha was established with the aim and goal to prepare the Jewish daughter with a deep and profound knowledge and understanding of Yidishkeit, Torah VaChassidut and a love of the people of Israel and the Land of Yisrael. We pray and hope that the present and future students of the College will be imbued with the above mentioned qualities which will strengthen the Am Yisroel.
May you have success in all your endeavours.
